After much thought, I have decided to make The Switch. What exactly is “The Switch”? Well, let me explain…
Over the past year, I have photographed numerous beautiful weddings and loved every minute of it. However, as most of you know, we began fostering our sweet little boy at the very beginning of this year. There is absolutely nothing I love more than being at home with him and watching him learn something new every single day. We were just given the news that he will officially become part of our family next month! I CAN NOT even put into words how happy this makes me. We are thrilled!
All of this considered, I have decided to pull back on the number of weddings I accept, and focus more on lifestyle and portrait sessions. This is where I began my business, and it really is what I desire to do. Not only am I extremely passionate about family photography, but this will also allow me to spend even more time with my own family! What could be better than doing what you love, and getting to enjoy it all while watching your little one grow? Nothing.
So, head on over to my new pricing page and check out the changes that I have made. Please feel free to spread the word that our family sessions are back in full swing!! :)
Where do I even start? I met Michael and Emily a few months back when we met up to talk about me possibly shooting their wedding. I knew right away that I would love working with them. They were so obviously in love, and I couldn’t help but notice how laid back they were about everything. Working with them was going to be a breeze… and it was.
The whole day was so laid back, and everyone was so at ease. Emily even assigned me a theme song, Paparazzi by Lady Gaga, which she proceeded to play while I stood on top of the bathroom toilet in order to get some good angles. Hey, you gotta do what you gotta do… am I right?
LOVED this day!!
I also had some incredible help from my second shooter… Kelsi Williamson of Kwil Photography!
I tried my best to stay far away from shooting weddings… but let’s be honest, what girl can keep away from weddings? They are just too much fun! I will admit that I have been sucked in, and I’m pretty happy about it. REALLY happy about it!!
All of this to say, if you are getting married- you’re in luck! Our packages start at $2500… if you are interested and want more information, just send me a quick e-mail requesting our detailed (and beautiful) info packet.
Let me just start off by saying we LOVE our band family!! We truly are family and I am so thankful for every single one of them. We all live in the same neighborhood; all within less than a mile of each other. I really don’t know that we could do life with out them… in fact, I KNOW that we couldn’t. These guys are CONSTANTLY traveling and rooming together for weeks on the road, but yet when they come home, we still all want to be together and hang out. I think that really says a lot about our friendships.
Anyway… all of that to say that last night we went on an amazing boat cruise of Town Lake. Jamie bought a Groupon a while back for a boat rental with Capital Cruises, and last night we finally used it! I can not even tell you how great this was. We had the boat all to ourselves, brought our own food and drinks, enjoyed the breeze on the water, and were able to relax and watch the famous Austin Bats fly out for the night. So much fun…
This post ultimately has nothing to do with photography… this is just a really exciting personal post!!
