The Mangum Family {austin family photographer}

Christy contacted me just a couple of weeks ago to see if I could take some family photos while all of her family was in town for their son’s first birthday. Unfortunately a few family members ended up being sick and couldn’t make it, but we managed to get at least some of the family… and let me tell you, this is an over the top GORGEOUS family. Talk about photogenic… they take it to a whole other level.   :)

The story behind how we met the Mangum’s is beyond amazing. In fact, if we hadn’t have met them, we would be nowhere near where we are today.  Before we had even moved to Austin, the Mangum’s (who didn’t even know us at the time), let us stay in their home for a weekend while we searched for a place to live.  They were so incredibly sweet and invited us to go to their church with them while we were in town.  While at church, Philip met Aaron.  Aaron just happened to mention that they needed a drummer to fill in with worship every now and then.  Two days after we moved to Austin, Aaron called Philip and asked if he could play with them that Sunday.  Never in a million years would we have guessed that Philip would eventually join the Aaron Ivey band and that the Austin Stone Community church would be our home church.  This church and the people there have COMPLETELY (by the grace of God) changed the way that we live life.

All of that to say, meeting the Mangum’s completely changed our lives.

Here are just a few of the many shots that we got from the shoot…
